SMA Monitoring API Integration – Data Privacy Notice

The Ecotech – GPM Horizon Integration is operated by Ecotech Contracts Limited and uses the SMA Monitoring API to access authorised solar PV plant and system monitoring data.

The integration is currently used to support GPM Horizon monitoring for Downing LLP.

Ecotech will only access plant or system information where the relevant system owner or authorised user has granted permission through the SMA consent and authorisation process.

Information accessed may include plant and system identifiers, operational information, energy production data, performance information and other monitoring data made available through the SMA Monitoring API.

Information will only be used for authorised monitoring, operational, technical, reporting and system-support purposes. Ecotech does not sell information obtained through the SMA Monitoring API.

Ecotech takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Information will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed and in accordance with applicable legal and contractual requirements.

Where information constitutes personal data, it will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection requirements.
